  Abstract:  Managementul facilităţilor sportive. Facilităţile sportive există de mii de ani. Culturile străvechi, egiptenii, grecii, romanii şi chinezii au investit în crearea facilităţilor sportive pentru promovarea sportului, pentru o varietate de scopuri, incluzând pregătirea militară, recreerea, bunăstarea fizică a oamenilor. Managerii sportivi recunosc faptul că facilităţile influenţează organizaţia în mai multe moduri. Desigur numărul, tipul, calitatea programelor şi activităţilor sportive sunt direct influenţate de facilităţile existente. În al doilea rând, calitatea facilităţilor sportive este o reflectare directă a organizaţiei şi a programului său. În al treilea rând, facilităţile sportive sunt bunuri foarte importante ale organizaţiei care pot afecta pozitiv sau negativ generarea de venituri, imaginea mărcii şi satisfacţia consumatorului.
